Rondo for Percussion Duet

This duet for percussion was commissioned by Luke Wagner with no specifics in mind, leaving me total creative supervision over the project. Contemporary percussion music is a genre of music I am less familiar than the traditional classical idiom, so I used a structural tool, the Rondo, as a guide for myself. I relied on interesting sounds, unique vibraphone harmonies, and modern rhythms I find compelling to drive this piece forward, ending the way it starts as a sort of bookend to the piece.
